In April 2022, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust confiscated 300 kilograms of bushmeat, made 54 arrests, and destroyed 1044 snares. The team also discovered 7 instances of illegal logging, 3 livestock bomas, 5 cannabis plantations, 21 charcoal kilns, 23 hideouts, and 8 poachers' hideouts. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 60 wildlife cases with 13 of them being elephant-related and 16 of them being poaching-related.
