Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Impact Report: March 2023

In March 2023, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust confiscated 60 kilograms of bushmeat, 70 kilograms of ivory, made 75 arrests, and destroyed 1167 snares. The team also discovered 2 cannabis plantations, 6 charcoal kilns, 19 illegal livestock enclosures, and 13 poachers’ hideouts. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 41 wildlife cases with 23 of them being elephant-related and 19 of them being poaching-related.
