Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Impact Report: June 2022

In June 2022, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust confiscated 18.5 kilograms of ivory, made 66 arrests, and destroyed 1717 snares. The team also discovered 14 livestock bomas, 9 charcoal kilns, and 10 hideouts including 9 poachers’ hideouts. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 46 wildlife cases with 21 of them being elephant-related and 20 of them being poaching-related.
