In November 2022, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust confiscated 15 kilograms of bushmeat, 210 kilograms of ivory, made 140 arrests, and destroyed 824 snares. The team also discovered 20 livestock bomas, 16 charcoal kilns, and 12 hideouts including 4 poachers’ hideouts. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 46 wildlife cases with 19 of them being elephant-related and 13 of them being poaching-related.
